Guardian Visa in Thailand
The Guardian Visa allows a parent to reside in Thailand to accompany their child who is enrolled in a Thai educational institution. This visa is particularly useful for young families where the parents are not seeking employment in Thailand. A Guardian Visa can be obtained if your child is attending any international school in Thailand or accredited Thai schools.
Requirements to Obtain a Guardian Visa in Thailand
To apply, you will first need to obtain a single-entry Non-Immigrant O visa from a Thai Consulate. This visa grants an initial 90-day stay. Upon arrival in Thailand with this visa, you must meet the current financial requirements, which involve having 500,000 Baht in a Thai bank account for a period of 30 days for the first year and 90 days for subsequent years.
Thai Immigration Requirements for a Guardian Visa
Thai Immigration also requires proof of the parent-child relationship, which can be demonstrated through either of the following:

- An affidavit from your consulate.
We have extensive experience working with numerous international schools throughout Thailand and are pleased to assist with your relocation. We can ensure you enter the country on the correct visas or manage the renewal process if you and your children are already residing here.
